What it is
Licensed contractors carry the trade license City or State law requires for the kind of job at hand—for example plumbing, electrical, sprinklers, façades, demolition, asbestos, and similar work that inspectors track closely.
Why it matters to address
Inspectors want to see approvals line up with work done under the right trade license; insurers usually expect the same. Using workers without the matching license drags out inspections or final paperwork; delays bonding and sign-offs from other trades on the site; slows clearing violations—and leaves owners less protected.
